Tokeneke Classic Road Race

The Tokeneke Road Club and the Cafeteros Cycling Club are proud to stage this exciting bike race around the Barkhamsted Reservoir in central Connecticut

This is a race organized by and for racers. The area was chosen because of the challenging terrain and spectacular beauty of the race course. We think it is one of the best courses in the Northeast, and we’ve raced a few of them. The course consists of multiple loops around a hilly 22-mile circuit with about 2000 feet of climbing per lap. The field often splits before the finish, but if not, the final 2.2 miles at a consistent 5% grade ensures a thrilling finish for both contestants and spectators.

A beautiful 2 day ride across Connecticut. 1st day is 80 miles, 2nd day is 50 miles. Start in Norfolk and finish in Mystic. First 200 riders have the privilege to stay at the world famous Hole In The Wall Gang Camp, Paul Newman’s camp for children with cancer and other life threatening diseases.
