Tour de Ulster

The 3rd AnnualTour de Ulster is being held on June 22, 2008 beginning at the Forsyth Nature Center Kingston NY.

The event offers a variety of rides 12, 25, 30 & 50 mile rides. 50 and 30 mile ride begins at 8:30 AM, the 12 and 25 mile ride begin at 9:30 AM. There is a suggested donation of $15.00 individual and $25.00 family however, you could donate more of less as you see fit or can do. No money- no problem. No one denied.
These rides are designed to promote bicycling and bike safety, advocate for safe routes, promote drug free community events and promote the City of Kingston ( NYS first Capital).

See historic Kingston, Woodstock, Saugerties and other Ulster County towns. Stop and view mountains, waterfalls, farms and more.

FOLLOWING the TOUR DE ULSTER and at the same place

Bring the family and ride in the TOUR DE KINGSTON at 12 noon. This is a free slow paced 5 mile ride through historic Kingston. Kingston Mayor James Sottile will participate and conduct a tour of City Hall. In addition, there will be stops at and tours of the Fireman’s Museum, The Senate House and start and finish at Forsyth nature Center bring the children, enjoy the area, meet the Mayor and Police Chief, as well as other, have fun, meet new bikers, arrange ongoing rides and socialize, enjoy the animals and education at the Nature Center, learn history of Kingston. Come enjoy the day and the area. FREE- FREE- FREE

12 and 25 mile rides are police escorted. 30 and 50 are que sheets.

Refreshments provided by Hannaford, Bike drawing and other raffles.

Proceeds from registration and donations are used to promote bicycling and related drug free community events and to purchase and or repair bikes for individuals and families to ride for recreation, work, education or other positive reasone.

The 3rd Annual Tour de Kingston is a 5 Mile FREE ride in the City of Kingston. Kingston is the first Capital of New York State. This is a slow paced family ride held in conjunction with the Tour de Ulster which offers 12, 25, 30 & 50 mile rides. The Tour de Kingston is designed to get people riding, promote bicycling safety and advocacy for more and safer bicycling routes. The Mayor of Kingston, James Sottile will participate and conduct a tour of City Hall so come and meet the Mayor. There will also be tour of the Fireman’s Museum as well as tour of The Senate House. ALL FREE on this day for bike riders and their families. Refreshments FREE from Hannaford, Bike Drawings and other raffles. Starts at The Forsyth Nature Center in Kingston. Donations accepted. Proceeds go toward bicycling interests primarily buying bikes for individuals who need them for transportation to work, school or other needs and for families to ride together. Bike Clubs invited. Come promote biking- enjoy the beautiful Ulster County region with waterfallon the Tour de Ulster Ride and Mountain Views. Stay for the weekend and go to Kingston Farmers
